Ramón Villeda Morales Airport (SAP) Car Rental

All additional drivers must meet all rental requirements.
Additional drivers must appear at the rental counter with the primary renter.
Additional drivers must sign the rental agreement.
An additional daily fee may apply for any Additional Drivers.

The additional driver can only be added to the contract at the pick up location.

Minimum age to rent a vehicle is 21, and maximum rental age is 99 years.

Drivers between the ages of 21 and 24 will incur an additional daily fee.
 

Alamo Protection Package with Deductible (APPD) is a package product which includes Collision Damage Waiver-Theft Protection and Third Party Liability (TPL) at a discounted price.  Alamo Protection Package with Deductible (APPD) is not insurance. If you purchase APPD, the rental company contractually waives your responsiblity for the cost of damage to, loss or theft of the vehicle, and up to the policy limits for damages and injuries to third parties during the rental period in Honduras subject to the actions listed on the rental agreement that invalidate the coverage as described in the rental agreement.

A deductible of up to $2,000 USD will apply for damage to the vehicle, depending on car class. For theft or total loss of the vehicle, a deductible of up to $9,500 USD will apply, depending on car class. For TPL, a deductible of $4,500 USD applies.

Driving restricted within the country of Honduras only.

Customer must pre-arrange delivery/collection  or pick-up/drop off of vehicle in advance.


Delivery/Collection is available at an additional cost of $20 from 0-4 KM.

Delivery/Collection is available at an additional cost of $35 from 5-15 KM.

Delivery/Collection is not available beyond 15 KM.

All one way rentals must be booked in advance and are subject to availability. One way charges apply and are payable at time of rental.

One way charges cannot be prepaid.

Collision Damage Waiver-Theft Protection (CDW-TP) The purchase of CDW-TP is optional and not required in order to rent a vehicle. If you purchase CDW-TP, the rental company contractually waives your responsibility for the cost of damage to, loss or theft of the vehicle, after the deductible, during the rental period in Honduras unless you invalidate the coverage as provided in the rental agreement. CDW-TP is included in the Alamo Protection Package with Deductible (APPD).

A deductible of up to $2,000 USD will apply for damage to the vehicle, depending on car class. For theft or total loss of the vehicle, a deductible of up to $9,500 USD will apply, depending on car class.

If CDW-TP is declined, the renter is responsible for the full value of damage to or loss of the vehicle.

As a customer, you have a choice as to how you would like to pay for fuel.

Option 1- We Refill
This option allows the renter to pay Enterprise at the end of the rental for gas used but not replaced. Price per gallon will be higher than local fuel prices. A 60 percent surcharge will apply.

Option 2- You Refill
This option allows the renter to return the vehicle with a full tank of gas to avoid extra fuel charges.

Full and Valid Driver's License from country of origin. Passport, Return Ticket and Major credit card.

PERSONAL ACCIDENT INSURANCE – PAI - THE PURCHASE OF PERSONAL ACCIDENT INSURANCE IS OPTIONAL AND NOT REQUIRED TO RENT A VEHICLE.

PERSONAL ACCIDENT INSURANCE COVERS AMBULANCE SERVICE, DOCTORS, HOSPITALIZATION AND NURSES FOR EACH PASSENGER IN THE VEHICLE, WITH A MAXIMUM LIMIT OF 3,200.00.

A passport in addition to a credit card, with available credit and in the renter's name, must be presented. The signature on the back must match the name imprinted on the card. In addition, if the renter has an online transaction, the number and name printed on the card presented by renter must match the name and number stored for the online transaction.

An authorization on the credit card in the amount of $1500 up to $2,500  plus the cost of the rental will be taken at the time of rental. This authorization amount may be used toward damages of vehicles or late charges.

$2,500 SUVs and Vans

Debit/Check cards are only accepted at this location as a form of final payment. Debit/check cards are considered to be any non-credit card with  American Express®, MasterCard®, VISA®, Diners Club®, Discover® logo. Any other non-credit card without one of these logos is not accepted.

Cash is only accepted at this location as a form of final payment.

Roadside Plus – RSP - If selected and paid for at the time of rental, owner offers Roadside Plus, which provides 24-7 roadside assistance without additional charges.

RSP includes replacement of lost keys - including remote entry devices, lockout service - providing special equipment is not required to open the car, towing - not related to an accident, and jump-start. Tire damaged beyond repair as a result of driver neglect is the responsibility of the renter.

Must meet the location's minimum age requirements.

Present a valid driver's license.

Present a major credit card in renter's name at the time of rental.

This location accepts notarized Chinese Drivers License.

International drivers must provide a valid license from their country of residence. In addition to the drivers license, if the characters are not in English or Latin characters, an international drivers permit is recommended. If the drivers license is in characters other than Latin, an International permit is required or a Notarized English Translation is accepted.

Third Party Liability -TPL-  protection is required by the rental company, unless Alamo Protection Package with Deductible -APPD- is purchased. Customers can obtain coverage for damages and injuries to third parties, up to the policy limits, under the local rental car company's insurance by purchasing its TPL protection. TPL coverage is subject to the actions listed on the rental agreement that invalidate the coverage as described in the rental agreement.

A deductible of 800.00 USD applies.
