All additional drivers must meet all rental requirements. Additional drivers can be added at any rental location and at any time during the rental. An additional driver fee of EUR 7.50 (excl. VAT and local taxes) per day up to a maximum of EUR 75.00 (excl. VAT and local taxes) applies.

Out of hours pick-up is available only at airport station. However this service is not bookable on the Internet. Please contact the location as your credit card details and flight number is required. An additional fee in the amount of EUR 30.00 (excluding VAT plus Airport fee where applicable) will apply.
 
If you fail to collect the car at the requested time, a no show fee in the amount of EUR 30.00 (excluding VAT plus Airport fee where applicable) will apply. Out of hours return is available on request. Please contact the location as specific conditions and fees may apply.

The minimum age requirement for all vehicles is 25. Renters between the age of 21 and 24 may rent the categories Mini, Economy, Compact and Intermediate. A young driver fee of EUR 7.00 per day (excl. VAT and local taxes) up to a maximum of EUR 70.00 (excl. VAT and local taxes) applies to all renters between the age of 21 and 24.

Cross Border rentals are allowed with an additional fee from EUR 55.00 per border to the following countries only with a written permission by the location: Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania (from 70.00 EUR, Mini, Economy, Compact categories only), San Marino, Serbia (from 70.00 EUR, Mini, Economy, Compact categories only), Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland. Vehicles cannot be driven into and/or dropped off in any African, Asian or Middle-East countries, nor in Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bulgaria, Georgia, Greece, Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine or any island. Driving to Romania and Serbia is only possible with Mini, Economy, Compact car categories and after purchasing Collision Damage Waiver and Theft Protection. Extra insurance protection of EUR 70.00 per border applies. All other car groups are not allowed. Should these above restrictions be ignored all protections lose their validity. The renter will be held fully responsible in case of damage to, or loss of the vehicle and will bear all consequences, including the cost of repatriation of the damaged vehicle. Crossing the border of the Hungarian territory without permission will result in a surcharge which will be based on an individual assessment and withdraw the insurance policy and the client will be responsible for the cost of all damages. All fees quoted include VAT and premium location surcharge.

This location offers a collection and delivery service. Vehicles can be delivered and collected during the location’s normal opening hours. A charge from EUR 0.86 per kilometer applies (excluding VAT and local taxes) with a minimum fee of EUR 28.00 (excluding VAT and local taxes) per rental. To arrange a delivery or collection customers are required to contact the branch directly.

One way rentals are currently not available.

All vehicles are delivered with full tank of fuel. As a customer, you have a choice as to how you would like to pay for fuel.

Option 1 - Prepay Fuel
This option allows the renter to pay for the tank of gas at the time of rental and return the tank empty. No refunds will be issued for unused gas.

Option 2 - We Refill
This option allows the renter to pay Enterprise at the end of the rental for gas used but not replaced. Price per gallon will be higher than local fuel prices and an additional administration fee of EUR 14.99 (inc VAT) is applicable.

Option 3 - You Refill
This option allows the renter to return the vehicle with a full tank to avoid extra fuel charges.

RATES INCLUDE A MAXIMUM OF 4000 KM. ANY ADDITIONAL KM WILL BE CHARGED SEPARATELY DEPENDING ON CAR GROUP.

In the case of any collision, damage, theft of the vehicle or keys, injury, or death occurring as a result of an accident, the renter is obliged to call the police regardless of the extent of the damage. If the renter does not contact the police within a reasonable timeframe, they accept full responsibility for the damages. The renter must complete an accident report form which is included within the documentation for the vehicle. The renter is also required to notify the lessor of any involvement in an accident, or any damage caused to other parties without delay, if contact with the lessor is not made within 24 hours, the renter becomes fully liable for the damage.
At the time of pick up/drop off of our vehicle, a Car Condition Report will be filled out and signed by the renter and the rental company employee. In the case that a Car Condition Report has not been signed by the customer at the time of drop off (eg. vehicle is returned out of opening hours or customer does not wait for the vehicle to be checked over) this will be interpreted as acceptance from the customer of the vehicle condition statement.

All major credit cards, issued by either Visa, Mastercard and American Express are accepted. Debit cards are accepted for purchases only and cannot be used for pre-authorization or security deposits. All cards presented must be in the renter's name and must be valid for at least 3 months from the date of pick-up. Prepaid cards (Visa Electron, Diners Club etc.), cash and checks are not accepted. A security deposit will be taken at the time of rental and must be left on a credit card. The minimum deposit covers the cost of the rental, the excess on the contract, a full tank of fuel and all taxes, with a minimum approval of 1000 EUR authorized. Two separate credit cards are required for the categories Full Size and above.

Alamo offers Roadside Assistance Protection -RAP- at select locations. RAP allows the customer to waive financial responsibility for chargeable roadside incidents such as lockouts, vehicle technical failure, towing, replacement car. RAP can be added for 5.00 Euro per day (excl. VAT plus Airport fee where applicable). RAP coverage does not include the following Flat tire, fuel delivery and key replacement. RAP is void and null if at the time of the incident necessitating roadside assistance the renter or authorized drivers are in violation of the rental agreement. In such cases Roadside Assistance will be available but standard charges will apply. Alamo rental locations do not provide direct Roadside Assistance to the renter. The assistance is provided by a Third Party Provider on behalf of Alamo. RAP is available during the office rental operating hours by calling +36 1 770 7070. Roadside Assistance Protection is an optional product. If you decline RAP then you will be required to pay any applicable charges and seek compensation from your carrier. RAP is not insurance.

Exception: In cases of rental vehicle mechanical failure when the renters is not at fault Roadside Assistance will be provided at no cost to the renter even if the renter has declined the option to purchase RAP at the time of rental. This service will include a tow and a replacement vehicle. Please also see below information relative to vehicle replacement.

• If the Vehicle breaks down in the territory of Hungary, we shall provide you with a replacement car within 8 hours.
• If the Vehicle breaks down outside Hungary but in a country for which we have allowed the use of the Vehicle, we shall provide you with a replacement car within 36 hours.
• If the Vehicle is stolen in Hungary and through no fault of the renter (which is not the case when you fail to hand over to us the registration document and the ignition key of the Vehicle immediately after the incident), we shall provide you with a replacement car within 8 hours.


At the time of the rental all drivers must present a valid national driving license, which has been held for at least 1 year and a valid passport or in case of EU citizens an ID card. Additionally, all driving licenses issued non Roman Alphabet (Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Cyrillic etc.) must be accompanied by a valid International Driving Permit (IDP). An International Driving Permit (IDP) serves only as a translation of a drivers existing license, and by itself is not acceptable for vehicle rental. Please also refer to "Forms of Payment" as a requirement.

Third Party Insurance - All the vehicles in the Alamo fleet are insured against bodily injury and property damage that you might inflict on a third party as a result of an accident involving the vehicle. The amounts for such liability cover are available on request. In particular, you must comply with the - General Car Rental conditions of Alamo Rent A Car Hungary - in order to have the full benefit of the insurance provisions.
